When tattoo ink is injected into the skin, a needle repeatedly punctures the skin so that the ink can be injected into the deeper layers of the skin. Our body naturally produces white blood cells to assist in the healing of this wound, however because of the size of the ink particles, the white blood cells are not able to clear the ink away, which is how a tattoo remains under your skin.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of laser tattoo removal sessions needed depends on various factors, including the tattoo's location, size, type of ink, colour’s used, ink depth, and complexity.
On average, we estimate about 8 to 10 sessions, but the exact number will vary based on these factors.

Can You Completely Remove a Tattoo with Laser?
In most cases, yes you can achieve full clearance. However, all tattoos are different so this can vary depending on each person, and sometimes there can still be some shadowing left behind. As the ink is broken down, and further absorbed into the lymphatic system tattoos can continue to break down further over the months and years following tattoo removal treatment.
