Our Founder
Our Vitality Director, Annette Harman has over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. Annette’s career began in 1994 completing a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and working as an Ella Bachè therapist and salon manager.
In 2008, Annette furthered her expertise by pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies at Victoria University. After four years of study, Annette became a member of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians. Her dedication and passion to post-graduate education has kept her at the forefront of the industry.
The Vitality Evolution
In 1999, while pregnant with her youngest daughter, Annette opened her first salon at her home in Leopold. By 2003, she expanded to a shopfront and rebranded as Skin Sensations, later opening a second location in Ocean Grove in 2005. In 2007, Annette relocated her Leopold salon to the newly built Gateway Plaza.
As the beauty industry shifted towards a more clinical approach, Annette transformed Vitality Day Spa into Vitality Medi Spa, leading a team of skilled beauty therapists alongside top Geelong plastic surgeons. In 2017, Annette made the decision to focus exclusively on her Leopold clinic, evolving it into Vitality Laser and Skin as we all know and love it today!
Our Team
Dermal Clinician
Gemma has been an integral part of the Vitality team for 10 years now. With a Diploma of Beauty Therapy and a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies from Victoria University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clinic.
As Co-Clinic Manager, Gemma plays a key role in training and staff development. Her passion for skin care shines through her kind heart and warm nature, making her a trusted and valued clinician for our clients.
Dermal Clinician
Emily has been an invaluable member of the Vitality team for 7 years. With a Diploma of Beauty Therapy from Elly Lukas and a Bachelor of Dermal Science from Victoria University, she brings a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise to her role.
As Co-Clinic Manager, Emily is our marketing extraordinaire and plays a key role in supporting the ongoing growth and development of our team. Her passion for innovation in technology and cosmeceutical skincare is contagious and shines through her caring nature, making her a trusted clinician for our clients.
Student Dermal Clinician
Alana has been an integral member of our team for 4 years now. She holds a Diploma of Beauty Therapy and is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Dermal Science at Victoria University.
With her bubbly personality, Alana effortlessly puts clients at ease while treating a range of skin conditions and beauty services. Her dedication to her studies is reflected in the exceptional results she consistently achieves for her clients.
Beauty Therapist
Lucy has been a therapist at Vitality for 13 years. Many clients recognise Lucy from our Ocean Grove salon where she began in 2010. After 7 years of dedicated service, Lucy took a short break and returned to our team in 2019 at our current Leopold clinic.
Lucy has completed her Diploma of Beauty Therapy, specialising in relaxation facial treatments, massage and body wrap treatments, waxing services.
