What are spider veins?
Spider veins are thin veins that sit just under the surface of the skin, and are usually red, purple, blue, or brown in colour. They are called ‘spider’ veins due to their thin appearance, similar to that of a spider’s web.
Spider veins are usually an early or mild symptom of varicose veins disease, and may cause some pain or discomfort.

Where do spider veins appear?
